NRC-111 Another News and Reviews

  • Our boy Jim Plumb has surprised us with a new solo track, complete with vocals! The track is a deviation from Jim’s previous “Seasons EP”, an instrumental, ornate collection of songs themed around the four seasons. The new track, called “Invasion”, has its roots in more thrash, aggressive metal, with a nice modern sounding main riff complementing everything. Solid track Jim, really love it!

  • Stinking Rita have some job openings! The band have advertised that they are looking for a blues influenced guitarist and bassist to complete their live line-up. Improvisation is a must. The band are coming off of the release of their debut album, “Live From Studio Five”, a fully improvised blues rock album recorded entirely live and raw. If you’re listening and thinking you might fit this and be interested, drop them an email at!

  • Blitz have announced that, on August 1st, they will be playing at Ye Old Salutation Inn! After releasing their album “Fight to Survive” in 2020, alongside their single “I Believe in Christmas” in December, the band look set to have a stellar 2021 and playing in peak summer at The Sal with the beer flowing seems the be the perfect setting for the throwback feel good rockers!

  • Clonk have released their debut live album, titled “Klonk? (Live)”. The album is raw, gritty, catchy and extremely well done for a live album. Influences can be heard from punk music and classic British metal, with this being a loud, fast, well-paced effort. Tracks from 2019’s “Badhand EP” as well as their first single “Ed’s Got Really Floppy Hair” make an appearance alongside some new choice cuts!
